The CSI-009 is a High Quality Surveillance for the AT-D878UV, AT-D868UV, MD380 and other compatible radios such as Baofeng.
A surveillance mike has the earpiece in your ear and the microphone and PTT button on a cord you can press at any time. It is the type made popular by the FBI and Secret Service where you see a transparent coil near your ear.

I have a 2 MD380 and and Anytone 868. Everyone tells me my audio is low. I use a Heil headset and I sound great. I won't use it much this way.
